Rhonda Byrne is an interesting figure, mostly because of the way she was able to remove herself from the realm of relative obscurity into the realm of being a sort of international name. While not everyone knows about her or who she is, the people that have read her signature work or who do work in the same field in which she wrote know her name very well and because of that she has become extremely famous, probably beyond her wildest dreams.

She was born in Australia in 1955, making her just over 50 years of age today. She cut her teeth in the writing and producing industries of Australian Television and she has a lot of experience from her work in those areas during the earlier parts of her life. She has only written one book of any note, but at the same time it is a book that has swept across the world as one of the biggest sensations in the history of writing and definitely the biggest worldwide sensation within the particular field of writing she worked in. Her book, The Secret, is a self-help book that was later made into a movie as well. The Secret is a book that talks about the positive thinking way of getting your goals in life by starting to conceive them and then believing in yourself to be able to achieve them. In short, it is a blueprint for success based on the laws of attraction and her main achievement in The Secret was bringing those laws to the attention of the mainstream media and public.

Many people followed her advice in the books and as such were able to lead more successful lives. These people told their friends about the book and knowledge and purchases of The Secret spread to the point where Byrne was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time Magazine last year. The Secret is still going strong even today and Byrne still has her job in the Australian television industry to go back to should she ever wish to involve herself in the work that started her career. For the moment though, she has reached millions across the world with just one book based on one very simple concept.
